About UC Video

Does the customer need to install an app?
No. The call runs entirely in the browser: Chrome, Safari or Edge on desktop, and the phone browser on mobile. The link opens with one tap; no install or sign-up required.
Is the call secure? Can anyone join?
Every call has an unguessable private code and is single-use. There is a waiting room: the customer cannot enter and their camera/microphone stay off until you admit them.
How does it work with the appointment system?
When you offer a service as "Online video", every booking for that service automatically gets a UC Video link, added to the confirmation and reminder messages. You do not need to do anything extra.
How is time counted, is there a limit?
Time is counted only while both parties are in the call; waiting and dropped intervals are not billed. The Pro plan includes 300 minutes per month, renewed at the start of each month.
Is there screen sharing and chat?
Yes. On desktop you can share your screen and chat in text during the call. At the end, the customer is asked for a short rating (stars + note) which is shared with you.
How does the branding look?
The call page shows your business name, logo and brand color; the customer is greeted on a professional page that belongs to you. There is no redirect to a third-party app.
